The Government hired a steamer at Buffalo last year for carrying on Lake Erie. She was to have been returned week since, which was not done on the day, and the owners are now claiming $10,000 damages, it is said, for loss of the season. Captain Sandom went up last week in the Experiment to arrange the affair. He will find Brother Jonathan wide awake for the dollars. - Kings. Her.
