p.2 Boat Accident - yacht Mazeppa of Cape Vincent being towed to Toronto by str. Spartan for regatta; when at Cobourg, the Spartan backed over the yacht and capsized it, drowning 1 person.

-V.P.T.W.C. - Sept. 1.

-The Rideau Canal - temporary repairs made at Kingston Mills.

-Notice - Davidson & Doran & Co. - make capstans, steam engines, winches, prop. wheels, etc.

p.3 New Line - str. Norton to run between Clayton and Gananoque.

-The Acacia - fitting out at bottom of Princess St.

-Resumed - str. Norseman running from Port Hope to Charlotte.

-Racing - a sailing match between Island Maid, Brown Jug and Idler.
