p.2 V.P.T.W.C. - 30.

-Police Court - Capt. Patterson of sch. Alpha was summoned for non-payment of wages to one of the crew. The reason the captain retained the money was that the man's pay had been garnished in a Lake Erie port for law costs, and he could not pay him in full. He would not accept the wages otherwise than in the full. The court gave judgement for amount less the above costs, a virtual verdict for the captain.

-Dismissals On the Canals - employees being dismissed from staff of Welland Canal officials if they supported Opposition party.

-Imports - 29-31.
