-To the Rescue - the str. Watertown to try and release fleet of steamers and barges at Beauharnois canal.

-V.P.T.W.C. - 22.

-Imports - 20,21.

-The Lake Disaster - a list of 19 names lost on Bavarian.

p.3 Bay of Quinte - Rochester now laid up; the sch. Ontario and 2 tugs are frozen in; Pierrepont has gone to rescue. [Belleville Ontario]

-A Gallant Death - the Captain of the Bavarian jumped into water to try and bring back pilot's boat to rescue ladies.
