-The Bavarian - "Jas. Howden, Montreal, foreman of Gilberts Foundry, gave evidence that he took the walking beam out of the old Kingston, and erected in on the Bavarian..."; the inquiry was closed at Montreal and moved to Kingston where the burned hull was examined; then the inquiry moved to Toronto.

p.3 Navigation Clear - in Beauharnois and Cornwall canals.

-The Bavarian - if weather remains calm, it will be towed to Montreal.
