-City Council - mentions new str. City of Kingston running on Rideau. Ald. White of Wharves & Harbors Committee, requiring Mr. George Brown to remove the sunken barges at the foot of Bay St.; repairs to harbor buoys discussed; the Dep't of Public Works must be provided with a return of work expended on harbor wharves and piers here.

p.3 Almost Drowned - 2 men working at blasting the shoals in the harbor were almost drowned - "in perspiration."

-The Harbor - arrivals and departures.

-The Surveyor - U.S. survey steamer arrived from Lake Erie.
