p.2 The Napanee River - The County Council on Thursday last very liberally granted the sum of $3000 towards dredging Napanee River, upon condition that the Town Council give a grant of $2000, one half to be expended in '75 and the balance in '76. It is also understood that the Dominion Government will give a grant of $10,000, making a total of $15,000. This sum should enable us to make our river navigable for any vessel that may require to come in for many years hence. [Beaver]
