p.3 An Old Acquaintance - The steamer which was recently burnt at Ottawa was the Bruce formerly of this city. She need not be greatly mourned after for she made little money ever for her owners.

Waking Up - Prescott to build elevator for grain.

The St. Lawrence - still thick ice in canals.
