New Yachts - Mr. George Chaffey has commenced operations in his shipyard at Portsmouth on two pleasure yachts. The new steamer Geneva is ready for launching but the ice is in the way.

New Agency - Phoenix Insurance Co. has opened a Marine Branch in Kingston, with Messrs. Folger Bros. as agents.

Open Water - a narrow strip of water seen at Pen. bar.
