The gunboat Cherub arrived in our harbour on Tuesday last. She carries two guns, one of 110 pounds and one of 40 pounds. She is commanded by Lieut. Huntley with a complement of forty-six. She has been visited by a majority of our citizens, all of whom speak highly of the courteous treatment on board

The officers were invited by some our fellow-townsmen to partake of dinner at Coulson’s Hotel, on Wednesday. The steamer sailed for Kincardine that evening.
