p.2 Navigation - sch. Great Western arrived at Oswego from Port Hope; at Napanee a meeting was held of the stockholders of the Bay of Quinte and Oswego line of steamers; a provisional board of directors appointed.

-A Gale - Boats Ashore - Damage Everywhere - Calvin & Breck's steamer Wellington broke loose and brought up on Spectacles; sch. Jessie Macdonald and scow Champion driven ashore on Belle's Island; ice is broken up in lake.

-The Harbor - Chieftain, Maud and Pierrepont running; Capt. Donnelly is preparing to rescue sch. Star at Ducks.

-Welland Canal Enlargement - Notice to Contractors - tenders called for many projects by Dep't of Public Works.

p.3 The Launch - Power & Sons will launch propeller tomorrow.

-The Canal - to open on May 3rd.

-A Caution - Port Burwell harbor is unsafe to enter until further notice.

-Imports - 27-29.
