Demise - death at Buffalo of Mr. Gardiner, tug proprietor, formerly chief engineer of American Express str. Ontario.

-Returned - The wreckers returned from the schr. Star last night with the str. H.A. Calvin. They report her in good condition for pumping out, and will return to her tonight with 2 of Messrs. Calvin & Breck's steamers, and will soon bring her to port, it is expected.

p.3 Marine Notes - sch. Sweepstakes arrived with first grain of season from Chicago; arrivals and departures.
