-Disaster - Can. sch. Sweepstakes lost part of foremast and maintopmast.

-Towing - towing rates have increased 25% between Kingston and Montreal since dissolution of Towing Association, meaning the withdrawal of tug line subsidy -reason - business is so low that there is no competition, only a few boats in service and little work, so they have to charge high rates to clear cost of maintenance.
