p.2 Dreadful Collision - Canadian str. Manitoba collided and sunk the prop Comet about Whitefish Point, Lake Superior, 10 people lost.

-The Excursion to Brockville - on str. City of Kingston.

-W.C. - 26.

p.3 Lock Broken - in Beauharnois Canal by prop. Prussia.

-Muir's Ark - carried 46,000 feet of square timber.

-Up the Canal - not much traffic on canal; perhaps the Government should close down the section from Smiths Falls to Kingston and reclaim the drowned land.
