Dreadful Disaster - steam barge Mendota foundered off Point Betsey on west side of Lake Michigan.

p.3 Marine - Collinsby - arrivals.

-Swifts Wharf - arrivals and departures.

-Regatta - preparations continue.

-In the Gale - schooners American and Mystic Star damaged sails in storm on Lake Ontario; Calvin & Breck lost pontoon while it was being towed down lake by tug Robb.

-A Good Business - by Kincardine and Alexandria on Belleville-Oswego route.
