p.1 Imports - 18.

p.2 Alexandra of Ont. & Quebec Nav. Co. laid up at Picton, also steamer Picton:; steam barge Elsworth, ashore at West Point, taken to Oswego.

-City Council - Deputy Minister of Marine sent cheque for gas used in town clock; Taxation - the petition of Mr. Ryan respecting the taxation of a schooner. This and some other petitions relating to the same thing were referred to the Court of Revision.

p.3 Marine News - new str. Oswego Belle can do 17 m.p.h.

-Capt. Sam Fraser has purchased the hull of the old tug William, (Calvin & Breck's) and intends taking it below the Cataraqui Bridge and converting it into a dry-dock for the accommodation of smaller craft.

-Currency - str. Swan and barge to spend winter in canal basin.

-engineer of Shickluna scalded to death by bursting of steam pipe.
