Hall, marine reporter of Detroit - number of disasters - 1056; 562 on Lake Michigan; 152 on Lake Huron; 189 on Lake Erie; 62 on Lake Ontario; 26 on Lake Superior; 19 on Lake St. Clair; 46 on rivers; 85 vessels passed out of existence; 25 new vessels; property loss $3,791,300.

p.2 Sale of Morning Star postponed.

p.3 A Launch - Calvin & Breck launched a big barge, had to cut ice opposite the ways; made room for keel of a large ocean vessel.
