p.2 City Council - first readiing of by-law proposing to publicly aid Power's Dry Dock.

p.3 Yachting - more comments on races at Alexandria Bay.

Series of Regattas - to be held at Belleville, Kingston, Brockville, Ogdensburg for second class yachts.

Marine - steamers at Swifts.

Auy. 16, 1876

p.2 Port Colborne - Down - Aug. 15th.

Marine - arrivals at various wharfs in Kingston.

p.3 The Belleville Regatta - to be held on Friday.

Rafting - timber coming from Rideau Canal to be used in rafting oak for Quebec.

The Ina in Trouble - with U.S. customs officials. [Chicago Inter-Ocean]

Aug. 17, 1876

p.2 Capt. Brophy of sch. Gerritt Smith fell into hold of propeller, got hurt last year in coal shute. [Oswego Palladium]

The Armenia - daily trips to Thousand Islands.

Marine -

Whiggings - the Ottawa & Rideau Forwarding Co. has gone into insolvency.

p.3 Yachting - new Napanee yacht Pioneer in cruise to Thousand Islands.

Weller's Bay Range Lights - notice issued by Dept. of Marine & Fisheries.

Attempting to Board Steamer - man in punt tried to board str. Kincardine at Oswego.

Aug. 18, 1876

p.2 Port Colborne - Down and up, Aug. 17th.

p.3 Aground - str. Armenia on Makin's shoal off Bath.

Picnicing - to be given by M.T. Co. to all employees, shovellers, etc.

Marine -

W.W. - str. Norseman broke cylinder on Saturday.

Today's Gleanings - new tug called Chain Tug to remove boulders from Gallops rapids.
