p.3 The Rideau - Mr. Shibley proposed in House of Commons to dispose of Rideau Canal to private individuals.

Marine - the spars are up on the new ocean vessel at Garden Island.

- Mr. I.H. Radford has purchased small schooner Mary Ann from Messrs. Folger Bros.

- lighthouses at Snake Island, Nine Mile Pt. and Brown's Pt. now working.
