p.2 Lake Ontario Salmon Fishing - Dept. of Marine & Fisheries calling for tenders for Special Licenses for various fishing stations on Lake Ontario.

p.3 A New Candidate - new str. Island Belle, launched at Clayton.

The Colonel's New Racer - Col. Shaw building a new yacht at Chaumont that could beat Ina.

The Elfin's Tow - two barges at head of Canada Island and two aground at Doran's Island - belong to M.T. Co.

W.W. - Oswego Belle delayed two hours on lake by smoke.

Marine - The following passed down through the Welland Canal yesterday: O. Mowat, Toledo to Kingston, corn.

Whiggings - Port Stanley visited by tidal wave 4'-5' high, followed at intervals for the space of an hour, by smaller waves of a foot or so in height.

May 18, 1877

p.2 Toronto Marine - schooners Annie Craig and Emerald loading timber at Northern Docks for Collins Bay, str. Picton to run between Toronto and Port Dalhousie, Empress of India to run in excursion business. [Globe]

p.3 The Admiral - Capt. Williams of Clayton to be master, machinery cost $65,000.

Marine - prop. City of New York disabled in machinery, did not leave Ogdensburg for Kingston.

- sch. George Warren of Detroit, purchased by Thomas J. Brown, to be named Rapid of Belleville.

May 19, 1877

p.2 Summary - stonecutters on strike at Lachine Canal works.

Boat Changes - Hastings, Maud, Pierrepont and City of Kingston to be moved on routes.

Marine - Arrivals at the M.T. Co. - schr. Oliver Mowat, from Toledo, 8,387 bushels of corn.

- str. Corsican delayed by smoke, rapids and fog.
