p.3 A Lucky Escape - str. Spartan had rudder chain snapped at head of Galoup rapids, three men rushed to hurricane deck and seized the tiller.

Marine - A.E. Seeley's new str. Peerless, to leave for Rideau Canal.

Big Fleets - one at Garden Island, one at Collinsby - all timber laden.

Off Again - sch. Jessie Hall and Robb taken off shore by str. H.A. Calvin.
