Marine - sch. M.L. Higgie lost jibboom and bowsprit in collision with sch. Jones off Long Point, Lake Erie.

Ottawa - Grenville Canal works closed down.

W.W. - Mr. Gilmore's new yacht, built by Chaffey & Co., has left for Ottawa.
