p.2 MARINE NOTES

The arrivals at the M.T. Company's since Thursday are: Prop. Nashua, lightening 6,000 bush white corn. Schrs. John McGee, 18,000 bush wheat; Sam Cook, 18,000 bush do; Riverside, 18,500 bush do. The Bronson left for Montreal with four barges grain laden and two with coal; and at Brockville the barge Energy was to join the tow, having 210,000 feet of lumber.

Arrivals at Swift's: Str. D.C. West from Westport; Nashua from Chicago; Granite State from Cleveland; Corsican and Zealand from Hamilton. The schr. Richardson, from Oswego, is unloading coal at Swift's.

Arrived at Holcomb & Stewarts: Prop. Ocean, Chicago, lightened 4,200 bush corn and proceeded to Montreal; Schrs. Trade Wind, Port Darlington, 6,000 bush peas; Belle Mitchell, Chicago, 21,728 bush barley; Trinidad, Chicago, 21,000 bush barley; Wayne, Chicago, 22,500 bush barley; Dan Lyon, Chicago, 21,900 bush barley; G.M. Case, Chicago, 22,700 bush barley. Barge Star arrived from Montreal with 2,000 bags salt, and Eagle with 2,000 bags do., for A. Gunn & Co., and Lark, light, in tow of tug H.A. Calvin.

For Sale - Steam barge Indian, has one sail, two anchors and chains.

p.3 N.T. Line - prop. Empire and grain barges Church, Hall and Keating laid up for revival of freight business.
