p.2 Belleville News - dredging - Capt. Malcolm arrives with dredge Giant and two scows; Gov't advertised for dredging outside the harbour; yachting - mentions Kathleen, Resolute, Katie Gray, Gypsey.

A Timber Experiment - tug Niagara to tow raft of timber from Bay City, Michigan.

-ad for Kingston Regatta - gives rules, officials, etc.


-The arrivals of grain vessels during the past three days have been confined to the following, all consigned to the M.T. Company:

J.N. Carter, Toronto, 14,000 bushels wheat.

Madeira, Chicago, 20,000 bush corn.

Hoboken, Chicago, 18,597 bush corn.

M.J. Cummings, Chicago, 20,000 bush corn.

Havana, Chicago, 19,427 bush corn.

Montcalm, Chicago, 20,300 bushels corn.

Montblanc, Chicago, 21,624 bush corn.

Prop. Lawrence, Chicago, lightened 4,500 bush corn.

Monticello, Chicago, 21,000 bush corn.

Westside, Chicago, 19,000 bush corn.

Clearances are: tug Bronson with barges Dalhousie, 18,229 bush corn; Milwaukee, 12,998 bush wheat, 110 tons phosphate; Advance, 324 tons phosphate; Lancaster, 265,340 feet pine deals; Lorne, 220,000 feet lumber; Toledo, 310,000 feet lumber -the two latter from Brockville.

-The tug Glide with barges Iroquois, 547 tons coal; Cherokee, 551 tons coal; Harvest, 235,000 feet of lumber from Brockville.

June 23rd - Vessels passed down through the Canal: Schr. Emeu, Black River, Brockville, coal; Prop. Garden City, Duluth, Ogdensburg, gen. cargo; Albercore, Bay City, Ogdensburg, lumber.
