Belleville News - the harbour - several schooners loading lumber; City of Kingston withdrawn from Bay.

p.3 An Episode - yacht Cygnet, Capt. Visgar, not allowed to land at Thousand Island Park on Sundays.

Marine - Passed Through Welland Canal -

Aug. 9, 1877

p.3 Marine - arrivals and departures.

Ashore - Yesterday the schooner Worts, bound from Lake Erie to Collinsby, timber laden, ran ashore in the fog at Pigeon Point. The Hiram A. Calvin went to her help, lightened her, and then pulled her off.

Racing - Island Belle beat steam yacht Rosaline.
