CHANGE OF CAPTAINS. - Capt. Simmons, quite recently in command of the propeller Old Concord, has retired from that position and is superseded by Capt. John McKay, late first officer of the propeller Coburn.

The COBURN foundered in Lake Huron six weeks later, with the loss of 32 lives. Capt. McKay was probably the same John McKay as died with the prop MANISTEE off the Keweenaw in 1883.
