p.2 Ottawa - wrecking on the lakes discussed - "Major Lewis is in the city at present on business with the Minister of Customs, at whose request he has for some time been collecting information respecting the wrecking losses of the Dominion. The principal points he is expected to report on are the number of disasters on Canadian shores between Kingston and Collingwood since 1867, the locality where they have most frequently occurred, and the general effect of the working of these laws, as well as the effect of the American laws have had on the Canadian tug interests. The report will be presented to Parliament when the question comes up for consideration.
