The sloop Idlewild is being fitted out for the season.

The steamer Pierrepont went to Cape Vincent today with a cargo of general freight and merchandise.

The steamyacht Wherenow is being overhauled for summer navigation. Her machinery will be greatly improved.

The Pierrepont got to Cape Vincent, yesterday, with little difficulty. This morning the ice has almost entirely left the harbor and drifted over towards the west end of Wolfe Island.

Yesterday a gang of men under the superintendence of W. Power, commenced improving the steamer Kathleen. Extensive changes will be made in the pilot house and cabins, and a new spar will be put in. The side windows will be shut up and replaced by circular lights similar to those in ocean steamers. Other alterations of a minor character will also be made.
