Bridal parties again featured the departure of the steamer Eastern States, Wednesday afternoon on her second trip of the season to Buffalo. Two pairs of newlyweds were among the passengers who embarked at the new D. & C. terminal, foot of Third avenue.
Boat service to Belle Isle will be inaugurated next Sunday by steamers of the Detroit & Windsor Ferry Co., which will leave the foot of Woodward avenue every 30 minutes, stopping at the foot of Joseph Campau avenue on the way to the island. The Belle Isle boat will not run to the foot of Third avenue this season, owning to the reconstruction of the dock as the new D. & C. Terminal.
