p.1 General Paragraphs - The str. Kathleen is being painted and repaired at the Grand Trunk dock.

The schr. A.J. Rogers, with coal from Sandusky, is expected tonight.

The str. Freemason was hauled out on the ways at Portsmouth for repairs yesterday.

The str. Welshman, of Montreal, will run on the Ottawa and Rideau route this season, connecting with the Rideau Belle at Smith's Falls.


The str. Alexandria commences her regular trips on Monday next.

The str. Nile passed up last night from Clayton to Deseronto light.

The schr. Flora Carveth ran into the Bay of Quinte bridge. Not much damage was done.

The new boat Loretta has had her boilers and engine placed in position, and will be ready for the opening of the excursion season soon.

The owners have entirely rebuilt the str. Ocean, putting in steel arches all through her. She is now as good as the day she was built. She goes on her route on April 30th.

The str. Maynard is running on the Clayton-Alexandria Bay route in connection with the trains. A large white shield has been painted on her smokestack, with the words "N.Y. Central" in black letters.



Daily Trip to Picton, Tri-Weekly to Deseronto and Belleville.



Will on and after Monday, 20th April, leave Kingston daily at 3:00 p.m. for Picton and way ports, going through to Deseronto and Belleville on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings only. The very best facilities are offered to shippers of freight, and lowest local and through rates quoted. No wharfage at Picton on freight by this steamer. p.4 Napanee, April 22nd - The schr. Two Brothers is the first vessel to enter the port of Napanee this season. She arrived on Monday and loaded grain from Downey & Co.'s warehouse.
