WALDO IS BROUGHT TO PORTAGE LAKE
_______
Captain Cunning and Wrecker Favorite Recover Victim of November Gale

With more favorable weather conditions than they encountered last winter, the wrecker Favorite and Capt. Alex Cunning, wrecking master for the Great Lakes Towing company, have been successful in releasing the steamer L. C. Waldo, which struck on Gull Rock off Keweenaw point, Lake Superior, in the storm of November 9 of last year.

Dispatches from Calumet Monday announced that the Waldo had been brought into Portage lake. Private messages received in Detroit say the Waldo was released about 3 p. m. Sunday.
