Detroit Dry Dock Company Issues an Instructive Book

"Around the Lakes" is just now being distributed by the Detroit Dry Dock Company, in whose interests it is being published. The book is a beauty from a typographical point of view and is handsomely bound. It contains a full list of American lake vessels and the addresses of the managing owners, condensed statistics of the lake business and a historical resume and illustrations of the company's plant. The book is very handsomely illustrated with over a hundred beautifully executed half-tone engravings of the prominent vessel men and the vessels of the lakes. About one-fourth of the book is devoted to a list of vessels and to statistics of a general character on lake business. The volume does the dry dock company credit.
