p.4 The Bon Voyage In A Storm - For three hours on Wednesday last the steamer Bon Voyage stuck on the bar at St. Joseph, Mich., with the sea completely sweeping her. Finally, with the aid of the life-saving crew, the boat was worked into the harbor broadside. When the wheel chains broke the wheel flew around with great force, striking Capt. Essex in the eye and injuring it so that he will probably lose the use of it. The coming winter the Bon Voyage is to be fitted up with more staterooms, and next season will run between Charlotte, Kingston and the Thousand Islands with another boat that is to be put on by the same company.
