MARINE INTELLIGENCE.

Clearances: tug Thompson with schrs Gaskin and Glenora, Duluth.

The schr. White Oak is engaged drawing coal from Oswego to the asylum.

A barge loading grain at Richardsons' broke away, and in doing so damaged the leg of the elevator to the extent of $75.

Joseph Gascoyne, engineer of the elevator at Swift & Co.'s dock, says he can hoist thirty-five tons out of a vessel in an hour.

Capt. Noonan, of the str. Rideau Belle, says he anticipates no trouble whatever as concerns low water in the canal, this season.

Divers were sent down to examine the wheel of the prop. Topeka, grounded on the Point Frederick shoal Sunday. No great damage was done the vessel.

Arrivals: tug Thompson, Montreal, six light barges; tug Bronson, Montreal, three barges; tug Hall, Montreal, four barges; schr. White Oak, Oswego; str. Spartan, Toronto; str. Rideau Belle, Ottawa.
