Clearances: tug Hall, Collinsby; str. Nile and Isis, Deseronto; schr. Clara White, Oswego.

The prop. Michigan will lighten 7,500 bushels of wheat and the prop. Munro 3,500 bushels of rye and proceed to Montreal.

This morning the prop. Alma Munro brought 100 excursionists to the city from Chicago. They remained a few hours and then left for a sail among the Thousand Islands.

Arrivals: prop. Michigan, Chicago, 75,000 bushels wheat; prop. Alma Munro, Chicago, 35,000 bushels rye; tug Hall, Oswego, two barges; prop. Argonaut, Chicago, 40,896 bushels wheat; schr. Kate Eccles, Brighton, 5,848 bushels peas; prop. Seguin, Fort William, 40,000 bushels wheat; str. Nile and barge Isis, Ottawa; str. Rideau Belle, Ottawa; str. Corsican, Toronto; str. Bon Voyage, Charlotte.

The str. Rideau Belle arrived at Swift's this morning, at 8:30 o'clock. She was an hour late due to an extra large load of freight and passengers. Capt. Noonan claims that her speed has been increased two miles an hour because of an overhauling of her engine last spring. She left today at 1 p.m. for Ottawa with a great load of freight and passengers. She left a cargo of freight behind which could not be taken this trip.

p.2 Wolfe Island Township Council, July 4th - Moved by John Kinsley, seconded by H. Davis, and resolved, that on the complaint of numbers of ratepayers, the St. Lawrence steamboat company be notified to run the ferry according to the time specified in the lease.
