The dredge and plant, owned by Connolly brothers, left for Nova Scotia today.

On Saturday evening the str. Varuna went into Davis & Son's drydock for repairs.

The str. Cariboo arrived from Prescott to enter into the passenger traffic on the Bay of Quinte for C.F. Gildersleeve.

The str. Glengarry entered Davis' drydock today, and will be thoroughly renovated and converted into a steam barge.

The scow Minnie went ashore at the head of Wolfe Island, and was released by the tug Ranger. The scow will go into Davis' dock this week.

Arrivals: sloops Sydney and Murray, Deseronto, lumber; str. Bon Voyage, Ogdensburg; str. Algerian, Toronto; str. Ocean, Hamilton; str. North King, Charlotte; str. Persia, Montreal; str. Corsican, Montreal; schr. Fleetwing, Sodus, coal.

The schr. B.W. Folger cracked into the west piers, Oswego, on Friday, on leaving the harbor. She was light and in tow of the Redford. The schooner's tow-line parted and the accident occurred. The Folger continued on her way to Sodus Bay, where she is to load coal. It is not known how badly she is injured.

p.2 Newboro, Aug. 13th - The tug J.K. Ward ran on a shoal off Fingerboard Point in Mud Lake and was nearly capsized. The crew blew off the boiler, and the only damage done was to the elbow of the feed pipe, near the steam chest, burst. Captain Thompson telegraphed for the tug Edmond, Bedford Mills, to come and pull them off the shoal.
