MARINE INTELLIGENCE.

Clearances: tug Active, Montreal, six barges.

The barge Iowa is loading peas and oats at Richardson's for Montreal.

Arrivals: tug Active, Montreal, light; sloop Maggie L., Napanee, 3,200 bushels peas; prop. Ocean, Hamilton; prop. Persia, Montreal; str. North King, Charlotte.

Workmen are busy caulking and otherwise repairing the steamer Columbian. Mr. Chabot feels confident that the steamer will be in order inside of a week, and will run between Montreal and Toronto for the remainder of the season. The steamer has been inspected by Lloyds, and has been placed in the first class, and given a twenty years certificate.
