Marine Matters.

The str. Hero will be thoroughly overhauled. Work was started in this direction today.

The schr. Dunn is in first class shape, and no improvements will be necessary in the spring.

Capt. Joseph Dix had his eye on the schr. Wave Crest, but the boat had changed hands before he made his offer.

Adolphe Corson, who sailed the Falconer last season, will have charge of the Wave Crest next season. Mr. Corson has an interest in the boat.

T. Vandusen, mate with Capt. Saunders on the schr. Ella Murton last season, has signed with the schr. Annie Minnes. This will be his first year as captain. He has a share in the Minnes.
