MARINE INTELLIGENCE.

The fog horns for Nine Mile Point arrived at the G.T.R. depot today from Ottawa.

Capt. Bartlett left for Oswego today to join the str. VanAllen. He goes mate on the vessel next season.

Capt. Quinn started today with a couple of ship carpenters to put repairs on the schr. White Oak.

Capt. Saunders says he will have to give S. Tyo a gun to keep the sparrows off the schr. Ella Murton.

Capt. Staley has secured a position in the employ of the M.T. Co. He will be master of one of their vessels.

The name of the str. Sylvan Stream has been changed to that of Empire State. The title is an excellent one.

Young scamps recently entered the club house of the Oswego yacht club and dismantled it. Damage to the extent of $800 was done. Several arrests have occurred.

General Paragraphs - F. Brigham, Toronto, has been appointed steward of the str. Algerian.

An old engine will be put into the Rideau Belle, and she will be run by Capt. Scott between Kingston and Perth.

What Should Be Built - should remove tower in front of city hall and build a wharf and elevator there.
