Capt. Joseph Parsons has purchased the schooner Ganges from John Odes, Detroit, and will run the vessel between Detroit and Ogdensburg next year.

Thomas Thurston, engineer, leaves in a few days for England. He is sent over by the Montreal Transportation company to superintend the bringing of the str. Bannockburn to this city.

Capt. W.H. Hartgrove, Detroit, has purchased the schr. A.J. Rogers, now at Detroit. The Rogers has a carrying capacity of 26,000 bushels and rates A-2. She will be in charge of Capt. Vandusen this coming season.

Michael Tetro, engineer of the str. Empress of India, left for Picton, this morning, to get his boat in shape for the season. The Empress is owned by Capt. Hepburn, Picton, and runs between Toronto and Port Dalhousie.

General Paragraphs - Capt. Murray started this morning to get the tug Thompson in shape for the season.
