The str. Guide arrived today from Cape Vincent with forty passengers and a large quantity of freight.

Electric fans for ventilating purposes during the trip to Chicago were put in the steamer North King today.

The new search lights for the strs. St. Lawrence and Empire State have not yet arrived. The lights will show twelve different shades and are very powerful.

Departures: str. Passport, Clayton; schr. Grantham, Oswego, light; schr. F.L. Wells, Charlotte, light; prop. Quito, Erie, light; tug Ferris, Oswego, light; str. Columbian, Oswego, passengers and baggage.

Arrivals: schr. B.W. Folger, Sodus Point, coal; str. Rideau Belle, Perth; str. Passport, Toronto; str. Ocean, Montreal; str. Spartan, Montreal; schr. Fleetwing, Oswego, coal; prop. J.G. Nichols, Dexter, light; prop. C. Ferris, three barges, Oswego, light; prop. Pueblo, Chicago, 5,300 bush. corn; str. Passport, Montreal, passengers and merchandise.

Stonecutters Strike At The Soo - Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., June 15th - The entire force of stonecutters employed by Ryan & Hanly on the big ship canal here have gone on strike. They demand an increase of pay from 40 to 43 cents an hour, and ask to be paid every two weeks instead of every six weeks.
