The str. North King arrived at Swift's dock at eleven o'clock this morning. Of the trip to Chicago the passengers had nothing but good to say. On the up trip good weather was encountered throughout with the exception of a little blow on Lake Michigan. The passengers were a jolly lot and concerts were held on board every evening. Miss Peck, Watertown, proved herself quite an elocutionist while others of the lady passengers contributed music and songs. An address was presented to Capt. Donnelly by the passengers declaring that a large share of their comfort and enjoyment on board was due to his forethought and guidance. The officers had proven themselves not only efficient seamen but perfect gentlemen.

The captain replied in an appropriate manner and explained that it was the instruction of the owners that no pains should be spared in making the trip most enjoyable and satisfactory in every way.
