Paragraphs Picked Up About The Wharves.

The schr. Singapore has coal for the M.T. Co.'s use this time. She comes from Charlotte.

Clearances: schr. Ella Murton, Oswego, light; schr. Jamieson, Oswego, light; schr. Flora Emma, Charlotte, coal.

The yacht Vera, owned by Mr. Rooney, Kingston, ran aground at Belleville and was pulled off by the tug belonging to the dredge.

The schr. Flora Emma has cleared for Charlotte to load coal for Swift & Co., and the schr. Fleetwing is expected in today with a cargo.

It is expected that the str. Bannockburn will be ready to be brought to Kingston in sections next week. The parting is made near the middle bulkhead, and that serves to close the end of one section. Across the other section a temporary but water-tight bulkhead is built.

Arrivals: str. Passport, Toronto; str. Spartan, Montreal; str. Enterprise, Toledo, 27,000 bushels corn; str. Antelope, Toledo, 22,000 bushels of corn; str. Albatross, Toledo, 22,000 bushels of corn; schr. Singapore, Charlotte, coal; schr. Folger, Oswego, coal; schr. Grantham, Charlotte, coal.

The schr. Folger arrived today from Sodus Point with a cargo of Lehigh grate coal. Mate Deroche was unable to find men for unloading this morning. He approached several men about the docks, but they refused to work, the general excuse being that they were tired or had been at a wake last night.

To Enter Actions - Walkem & Walkem have been instructed by the owners of the prop. Tilley, Merritt, Augusta and several other boats, to bring actions for demurrage against the owners of grain consigned to Kingston, and not discharged in proper time.
