p.1 General Paragraphs - The str. Monteagle is in from Chicago with corn, and the prop. Glengarry and barge Minnedosa also came from the upper lakes.


The schr. Queen of the Lakes is expected over from Oswego today.

Today the new steam pump placed recently on the tug Petrel was tried out and worked very satisfactory. The pump is very large and has great force.

The prop. Monteagle ran aground off Folger's dock yesterday afternoon. She was heavily loaded and got a little way out of the channel. An elevator and lighter liberated her early this morning. The schr. Minnedosa in tow of the prop. Glengarry also touched bottom off Gaskin's dock.
