p.1 General Paragraphs - John Rice left for Deseronto today to fix up the str. Deseronto on which boat he goes engineer this season.

Incidents of the Day - Navigation is open on the St. Clair river, and the schr. Hunter Savage has passed up into Lake Huron on her first voyage to Alpena.

Engineer John Evans has gone to Collins Bay to make the necessary outfits to the steamer Orion of the Collins Bay Rafting and Forwarding Co.
