When rebuilt the name of the old str. Maud will be changed to America.

The Commercial Union insurance company, which held the risk on the schr. Julia, burned at Wolfe Island recently, settled the loss for $1,450.

The Mercantile Insurance Co. will not give the insurance of $2,000 on the schr. B.W. Folger, burned last fall near Amherst Island. She was insured for $2,000, with a valuation of $3,000. The company offered $1,350.
