CHICORA WRECKAGE
_______
GREAT QUANTITIES OF IT BEING WASHED ASHORE
_______

Laporte, Ind. May 31, - (Special.) - The high winds of the last few days have washed up great quantities of wreckage from the ill-fated Chicora at points between Michigan City and New Buffalo. The wreckage shows signs of having been aflame. It comprises furniture from the cabin and parts of the vessel's upper works. This week tugs will search the lake west and east of New Buffalo with the hope of finding the hull of the wrecked steamer.
