Marine Intelligence.

The steam barge Arctic, of Alexandria Bay, has again been libelled in the interest of various persons. The total claims now made foot up $555.87, with several others to hear from.

The Thousand Islands and St. Lawrence river steamboat company is, this week, making its annual appointments of captains to the different vessels of their fleet, for the coming season.

Last year teams crossed the ice between the city and Garden Island on April 10th. A citizen said today that it would be later than that this year before boats would be running. He placed the date of the opening of navigation between April 15th and 20th.

p.4 Notice to Mariners - Washington, March 25th - The following notice to mariners, relating to the Genesee light station, New York, has been issued by the lighthouse board: Notice is hereby given that the light tower at this station in the W. pier at the entrance to Charlotte harbor, Lake Ontario, will be 350 feet northerly to a point on the pier about thirty feet from its outer end, and the fog signal building will be moved about eighty-four feet to a point just to the southward of the tower. On the opening of navigation, 1896, the light will be displayed and the fog signal sounded from the structures in their new positions without change.
