p.1 The schr. Dunn, timber laden from Toronto, arrived at Garden Island last night.

Sporting Intelligence - The charter for the Kingston yacht club association, limited, arrived this morning. Notices were sent out this morning calling a general meeting of the shareholders ten days hence for the election of officers and transaction of other business.

Last evening a meeting of the directors of the Kingston yacht club association was held, when the terms of the lease for the site of the proposed club house were approved. The directors decided to award the contract of erecting the house to Henry Wilmot. Commodore Strange presided.


The Spartan, Toronto to Montreal, called at Swift's this morning.

The schr. Nellie Hunter, Oswego, coal laden, is at R. Crawford's wharf.

The schr. Acacia is at Portsmouth with coal from Oswego for Swift & Co.

The str. Sequin and tow cleared the Welland canal, bound up, light, yesterday.

The steamyacht Gladys, of Ottawa, called at Swift's wharf last evening to coal up.

The str. John S. Parsons, Oswego, with 300 tons of coal, is being discharged at R. Crawford's coal wharf.

The str. Niagara, Cheboygan to Collins Bay, timber laden, passed through the Welland canal yesterday.

The str. Hamilton, from Montreal to Hamilton, called at Swift's wharf last evening. She had a very fair passenger list.

The str. Shickluna, with consorts Queen of the Lakes and St. Louis, Fort William, grain laden, are expected to arrive here tonight.

The sloop Idlewild loaded 1,400 bushels of wheat from Napanee, and the Dandy 2,000 bushels from Smith's Falls, at Richardson & Sons' elevator, and cleared today.

The finishing touches are being put to the repairs to and general renovation of the str. St. Lawrence at Craig & Co.'s wharf, and the vessel will be in trim to begin her season on the 15th inst.
