The steamer Hero was delayed up the Bay of Quinte today on account of the wnd storm.
The date of the opening of the canals is not definitely known, but local marine men place April 25th as the latest date.
Owing to the heavy sea rolling in, the sloop Two Brothers is unable to discharge her cargo at Mooers' elevator. She has been there since Saturday.
The arrivals of the first vessels in Picton harbor each year for the undermentioned ten years, was as follows: 1888, March 22nd; 1889, April 13th; 1890, April 10th; 1891, April 14th; 1892, April 8th; 1893, April 17th; 1894, March 26th; 1895, April 19th; 1896, April 18th; 1897, April 8th; 1898, March 24th.
